Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking a Landscape Laborer to support the Facilities Management department in maintaining university grounds. The role includes mowing, trimming, mulching, irrigation, and seasonal tasks to ensure attractive and safe outdoor spaces across campus.

Work is on-campus with a team, reports to the Landscape and Grounds Supervisor, and requires a high school diploma, two years of landscape labor experience, and a valid driving permit from MD, DC, or VA.

Qualifications

• High School degree required.
• Two years of experience performing general or landscape labor work.
• Driver’s permit from Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining landscaped areas as part of university facilities services.
• Perform grass mowing, trimming and edging, weed removal, and daily grounds policing.
• Irrigate lawns and planted areas, mulch, reactivate flower beds and tree saucers, and assist in sod laying.
• Follow safety rules and use standard tools and equipment according to trade practices.
