Job summary

Georgetown University on-campus is seeking a Landscape Laborer to perform routine landscape maintenance and gardening duties. You will mow and trim grounds, weed and irrigate, and assist with mulching, sod, and pest-control activities as part of the Facilities Management team.

You will report to the Landscape and Grounds Supervisor and work with a team of laborers to keep campus exteriors attractive and safe. Valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Requires one to three years of grounds landscape maintenance experience.
• Requires valid driver’s license and ability to operate pickup trucks, tractors, skid steer loaders, all-terrain vehicles and other specialized grounds equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs landscape gardener tasks to maintain university grounds.
• Mowing, trimming, edging, weed control, irrigation, mulching, and bed reactivation.
• Lays sod and assists with pesticide applications and related duties; uses standard tools and follows safety rules.
