Job summary

Sodexo at University of Hawaii at Hilo is seeking a Food Prep Helper to support meal preparation and serving for vibrant campus menus. You will help maintain clean work areas, follow recipes, and assist in basic kitchen tasks while delivering friendly customer service that enhances the daily experiences of students and staff.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of related experience is beneficial.
• Ability to read recipes and product directions accurately.
• Willingness to learn food prep and kitchen safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Reads recipes and product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and production equipment.
• May have basic cooking responsibilities, e.g., cooking vegetables or chicken for salads.
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts with satisfactory regularity.
