Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Chef for the Univ. of Maryland - Baltimore County campus location. The role requires direct supervision of kitchen and food-service staff, ensuring high standards of sanitation, food quality and timely service in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary and high-volume catering experience is preferred.
• ServSafe is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and evaluates assigned kitchen, food production and food-service associates.
• Supervises kitchen and hourly associates during food preparation, service and delivery.
• Ensures sanitation, food quality, portion control and proper serving temperatures.
• Tracks usage, waste, and inventory; inspects products for quality and quantity.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and workstation; supports recipe/Menu development.
