Job summary

The University of Olivet is seeking an ITS Systems Technician to maintain and repair IT endpoints across campus, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, cameras, AV systems, IP phones, and more. You will ensure reliable voice/data networks and contribute to AV infrastructure enhancements.

Responsibilities include supporting network infrastructure, maintaining campus workstations, troubleshooting hardware/software, assisting departments with tech-enabled processes, providing second-tier IT

Qualifications

• Two years of PC support experience with Windows networking.
• Experience in higher education IT services or academic computing.
• Proficiency with Windows and Mac OS, Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and peripherals; basic network familiarity.
• Ability to troubleshoot voice/network issues and operate AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the voice and data network infrastructure.
• Maintain campus multi-user computers and networks, and stand‑alone PCs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; coordinate with vendors and ticket resolution.
• Assist campus departments with admin process redesign using new technology.
• Provide second‑tier IT support and respond to IT tickets.
• Support and maintain audio‑visual systems across campus.
• Operate and maintain campus computer hardware and software.
• Oversee IT equipment inventory and asset tracking.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and technical training.
• Perform duties in a diverse and challenging environment.
