Job summary

South Plains College in Levelland, TX is seeking a Facilities/Grounds Technician to install and maintain campus irrigation systems and perform related concrete work.

The role requires reading plans, basic electrical and plumbing skills, and operating grounds equipment. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; a valid Texas driver’s license is required; 2 years irrigation experience preferred. This is a full-time position on the Levelland Campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of electronics, wiring, and plumbing is advantageous.
• Experience with irrigation systems and related components preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand plans.
• Install and/or repair irrigation systems, stations, controllers, valves, and wiring.
• Build forms for pouring concrete.
• Pour and finish concrete.
• Safely operate various grounds equipment (tractor, backhoe, mower, loader, etc.).
• On snowy or icy days report for work at 7:00 a.m. and assist with snow/ice removal.
