Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician II to maintain and repair building HVAC and refrigeration systems across campus. You will work on central heating and chilled water plants, service rooftop and air-handling units, and support energy management and CMMS workflows.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED), 3+ years in HVAC, EPA refrigerant certification, and a willingness to obtain aerial-lift certifications. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 3+ years in HVAC trade.
• EPA certification in refrigerants; journeyman card preferred or EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certificate.
• Must have basic computer knowledge for energy management system and CMMS (Schooldude).
• Familiar with air distribution systems (VAV, dual-duct) and reading blueprints/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine installation, adjustment, operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Operate central heating and chilled water plants and support campus facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff and maintain records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist other technicians and supervisors as needed.
• Rock-solid safety practices and adherence to campus policies.
