Salt Lake Community College seeks an HVAC Technician to operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across campus facilities. The position involves servicing split systems, chillers, and cooling towers, learning building automation, responding to calls, and documenting work in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0–3 years of direct HVAC or building maintenance experience, or an Associate degree with relevant training.
• HVAC trade school program or technical coursework completed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to lift 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections and monitor mechanical rooms for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist in servicing and replacing HVAC components including split systems, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Perform basic maintenance on valves, motors, belts, bearings, filters and lubrication systems.
• Learn central heating and central chilled water plant operations.
• Learn building automation system functions to monitor status and adjust as needed.
• Respond to service calls and close work orders in CMMS with time and materials.
• Provide courteous service to students, faculty and staff across campuses.
