Job summary

Tufts University is seeking an HVAC Mechanic I to install, service, and troubleshoot chillers, package, and split systems. The role includes maintaining documentation in the CMMS, preparing daily parts and tools, and providing after-hours emergency coverage as needed.

This essential, on-site position requires a strong reading of blueprints, BAS system knowledge, and a professional appearance consistent with university guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing chillers, package systems and split systems.
• Must read and comprehend blueprints.
• Experience with CMMS and BAS systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems per SOPs and safety norms.
• Maintain asset preventive maintenance records in CMMS.
• Prepare parts and tools for daily activities.
• Support emergency repairs and campus events as required.
