Job summary

Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO is seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Technician II (HVAC) to join Facilities Management. You will maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of HVAC/refrigeration systems supporting campus operations.

This on-site role offers growth in building automation, a collaborative team, and a weekday schedule with standard hours. Residency in Colorado is required, with standard safety and employment standards observed.

Qualifications

• Three years of HVAC service and maintenance experience in commercial/institutional environments.
• EPA Refrigerant Certification required and attached to application.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of a wide variety of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment (chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHUs, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment adjustments.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical manuals; document work orders and maintenance activities.
• Utilize Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word for tracking and reporting.
