Job summary

Oklahoma State University – OSU-Oklahoma City is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources to support the HR Director across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training, and compliance with labor laws.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR (Master's preferred), at least four years in HR, and proven ability to manage confidential information and complex schedules in a high-volume environment. Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or certifications.
• Minimum of four years experience in HR with onboarding, recruitment, payroll processing, and/or employee relations.
• Strong communication, integrity, and ability to handle confidential information under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates Payroll, Benefits, and Recruitment within HR.
• Assists HR Director with employee relations and performance management.
• Coordinates new-hire orientation, benefits questions, and deadlines for benefits forms.
• Acts as campus Insurance Coordinator and manages benefits changes.
• Oversees training records and mandatory training status for transcripts.
• Responds to unemployment claims and coordinates with supervisors and HR Director.
