Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt seeks a Director of Campus Human Resources to lead employee relations, compensation and classification programs, and front office operations. You will guide administrators through collective bargaining processes, ensure policy compliance, and oversee HR services campus-wide.

The role requires strategic partnership with university leadership, strong analytics, and a commitment to equity and inclusive workplace culture. California residency and CSU policies apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management or directly related field and 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employee relations, including handling grievances and investigations and advising on disciplinary actions.
• Lead compensation and job classification activities, including market analyses and equity studies.
• Manage front office operations and support for HR services and processes.
• Review independent contractor requests and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support campus HR functions.
