Job summary

Morningside University is seeking two dependable and energetic part-time Housekeepers to join our campus facilities team. These positions work approximately 29 hours a week, with some hours on Saturday and Sunday, to keep campus buildings clean, inviting, and safe.

You will perform custodial tasks, sweep and mop floors, operate cleaning equipment, and provide friendly service to students and staff, either independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of general cleaning practices and experience using household or custodial equipment.
• The ability to work successfully independently or as part of a group.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of custodial tasks to maintain clean, attractive, and orderly buildings.
• Sweeping, mopping, and caring of floors.
• Performing general cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Operating household and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Working independently and as part of a team to keep campus spaces looking their best.
• Providing friendly, professional service to students, employees, and campus visitors.
