Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University’s Student Health department seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to students on the Monroe Park and MCV campuses. You will administer vaccines, medications, and treatments, and support crisis intervention as needed.

The role requires RN licensure in Virginia, BLS, and experience with health assessments, phlebotomy, ECGs, and IV therapies. Onsite, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• RN training ADN/ Diploma/ BSN required.
• Skills in health assessment, wound care, ECGs and IV infusion.
• Lab skills incl. phlebotomy and basic lab principles.
• Demonstrated professionalism and respect for diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced university health setting.
• Work across Monroe Park and MCV campuses.
• Administer immunizations, medications, and treatments per standing orders.
• Enter new student immunization data into records systems.
• Educate students on preventive health practices and wellness.
• Support crisis intervention and coordinate emergency response as needed.
• Collaborate with campus partners to foster a safe learning environment.
