George Mason University's University Life department seeks a Clinic Nurse to support healthcare providers in the Mason Fairfax Campus clinic, delivering triage, immunizations, wound care, and medication administration to students, staff, and visitors. The role emphasizes safe patient flow, EMR documentation, and participation in quality improvement, peer review, and policy development.

Requires RN licensure in Virginia, BLS, 2+ years in ambulatory care, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds;

Formación

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of an accredited diploma, Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in nursing program.
• Valid Virginia or multi-state RN license at time of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Experience typically obtained in 2+ years as an RN in a healthcare setting.
• Experience working in an ambulatory or acute care setting.
• Knowledge of adult ambulatory care practices.
• Knowledge of the unique needs of college students.
• Knowledge of immunization requirements.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver direct ambulatory nursing care including triage, immunizations, wound care, and medication administration.
• Support preventive health initiatives such as mass flu clinics.
• Maintain EMR and Nurse Order Monitor documentation for clinic flow.
• Participate in peer review, quality improvement, risk management, and policy development.
• Precept BSN students and mentor future George Mason University Nurse graduates.
• Contribute to departmental committees and cross-unit collaboration.

Educación
