Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Superior is seeking a Student Health Promotion assistant to support development and execution of programs promoting students’ health and well-being. You will help with outreach, education campaigns, and events that encourage healthy mental, physical, and emotional behaviors on campus.

The role also supports SPARK grant initiatives to help the campus implement tobacco-free policies, working to create a healthier campus environment for UW-Superior students and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study funding.
• Enrolled as a UW-Superior student.
• Passion for health promotion and well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for advocating a nicotine-free campus through tabling events and engaging with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, planning, and implementation of health promotion materials.
• Organize and participate in mental health and well-being awareness campaigns.
• Assist in planning wellness events and tobacco cessation programs.
• Distribute information on SHCS services at campus events.
• Create engaging content (flyers, social media posts) to promote events.
• Gather data on campus tobacco-free policy compliance and report findings.
