Job summary

Stevenson University Online is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive health care to students on campus. The role includes assessments, diagnoses, immunization monitoring, referrals, and coordinated care within the Wellness Center.

Requirements include a Nursing BA, an MSN as Adult/Family NP, active Maryland NP license and national certification, plus ambulatory/college health experience preferred. CPR and flexibility for evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Master's in Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner, plus CPR certification.
• Active Maryland NP license and national Family/Adult NP certification.
• Experience in ambulatory health care or college health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis and treatment of health problems in students.
• Monitor immunization compliance for full-time students with the Administrative Coordinator.
• Provide defined health care and make referrals as necessary.
• Monitor health care needs and trends of university students.
• Immunize and administer medications and treatments as required.
• Conduct physical and psychosocial examinations of students.
• Prescribe or recommend medications and treatments.
• Consult with Wellness professionals and follow through with referrals and documentation.
• Supervise health profiles for incoming students.
• Ensure compliance with Maryland law and CDC immunization requirements.
• Consult with other clinicians to enhance quality and cost-effective services.
• Coordinate long-term medical excuses with Academic Support and contact faculty as appropriate.
• Follow up with students after medical transports.
• Collaborate with Wellness Center staff to develop policies and procedures.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing (rapid strep, rapid flu, pregnancy testing).
