Job summary

CSU University Student Union seeks a Specialty Instructor to lead group exercise classes, recordings, and private lessons. You will select music, design safe routines, and guide participants of varying fitness levels. This part-time role accepts Tier-based credentials and emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and program promotion.

Employment is through USU with pay tiers by experience; hourly rates range by Tier and certification, and a dynamic schedule will be set by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Tier I–V varies by experience and credentials.
• Tier I requires one credential from listed categories.
• Tier II requires 1 year experience.
• Tier III requires 2 years experience and a credential.
• Tier IV/V require higher experience and credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Instruct live fitness or mindfulness classes to groups of 3+ participants.
• Record fitness videos as requested by supervisor.
• Conduct one-on-one private lessons.
• Select music fitting class type.
• Plan safe, effective routines for all levels.
• Promote proper form and alignment.
• Educate on movement choices for different fitness levels.
• Follow emergency procedures when needed.
