Job summary

West Georgia Technical College is seeking a Groundskeeper for the Douglas Campus to maintain campus grounds and perform related tasks. The role requires working outdoors and operating grounds maintenance equipment, with a schedule that includes days and possible longer hours during peak periods.

Compensation is $38,480 per year, with benefits. This full-time position may travel to other campus locations and requires ability to perform physical tasks and weather-related activities.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Preferred: 1-year experience in landscaping or groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass and trims weeds with mowers, edgers, and hand tools.
• Plans plantings, sod, seeds, mulch, and mulch application; pest control when needed.
• Maintains grounds maintenance equipment.
• Shovels snow and ice; collects trash and debris for disposal.
• Maintains parking lots and other surfaces.
• Other duties as assigned.
