American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper at University View II in Prairie View, TX to maintain buildings and grounds and enhance curb appeal. You will support the service team with make-ready duties, turnover, and general upkeep across interior and exterior spaces.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and a willingness to learn certs and grow within ACC’s community-focused environment. Training is provided for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive a golf cart and lift up to 50 lbs.
• General labor, housekeeping and cleaning tasks knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow multi-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior areas to standard.
• Groundskeeping and trash collection.
• Vacuum, mop and/or shampoo floors in resident rooms and common areas; stock bathrooms.
• Assist with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading supplies.
• Support make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover processes.
• Support pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Operate all facility equipment safely following safety protocols.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
