Job summary

SFM invites applications for a Groundskeeper at a private school in the Green Hills area. This entry‑level, full‑time role focuses on landscape upkeep, snow removal, and supporting campus events. You’ll work outdoors, often as part of a team, with a schedule typical of early mornings and potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with landscaping tools is preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds intermittently.
• Willing to pass background checks for working in educational facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, weeding, planting, seeding, and basic lawn care.
• Assist in preparing athletic fields for events, including line painting, turf care, and ensuring fields are ready for play.
• Help with snow removal on sidewalks, driveways, and pathways during winter months.
• Remove litter and debris from campus grounds to maintain a clean environment.
• Support installation and maintenance of landscape beds and seasonal displays.
• Assist with irrigation systems to ensure proper function.
• Participate in event setup and teardown, ensuring outdoor spaces are prepared and cleaned.
• Assist with traffic control duties during school hours or events.
• Assist other departments with general labor or maintenance tasks.
• Ensure tasks adhere to safety and quality standards.
