Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain main campus grounds, prune trees and shrubs, and perform basic irrigation repair. This role involves regular contact with staff and students and requires safe, efficient landscape work.

Responsibilities include trimming, weed control, planting, pressure washing, and operating utility carts and power tools while adhering to safety rules and schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Experience in landscape care and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Best Management Practices in landscape maintenance.
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Trims, prunes, & installs trees, shrubs, vines and plants.
• Maintains and repairs sprinklers, landscape lighting, etc.
• Pressure washes sidewalks, outdoor furniture, canopies and other items.
• Collects debris and trash from campus grounds areas.
• Plays flowers, shrubs, trees, seeds, bulbs, etc. in flowerbeds or appropriate areas.
• Safely uses equipment such as golf carts, blowers, weed eaters, chain saw and power pruning saws while keeping them in proper working condition and reporting defects to proper personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
