Job summary

Ringling College of Art and Design is seeking a Plumbing/Maintenance Technician to install, repair and maintain campus plumbing systems and fixtures. You will read blueprints, service piping, and collaborate with other trades to meet codes and safety standards.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years of plumbing experience, and a valid Florida driver’s license; a state plumbing license and backflow certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; two years of verifiable plumbing experience in maintenance or related field.
• Preferred: Trade school graduate in plumbing; Florida license and backflow certification.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in campus buildings according to codes.
• Read blueprints and specifications to plan plumbing layouts and services.
• Perform maintenance on carpentry, electrical and HVAC systems as needed.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure project completion and safety.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and compliance with codes.
• Possess valid Florida driver's license and be available for on-call hours.
