Job summary

Kendal at Lexington is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain campus beauty, safety, and operations. Responsibilities include landscaping, mowing, pruning, and operating various maintenance equipment in all weather conditions.

The role supports facilities services, responds to weather events, and assists with moving residents and event setups as needed. A high school diploma and valid VA driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents and adapt tasks.
• Comfort working with an older adult population.
• Proactive, safety-focused and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-spectrum grounds, landscaping, and exterior support work across the Kendal at Lexington campus.
• Maintain campus grounds through mowing, weeding, pruning, trimming, mulching, fertilizing, and other landscaping duties.
• Operate landscaping and maintenance equipment including mowers, tractors, chainsaws, and similar tools.
• Coordinate maintenance, report incidents, and assist with special projects as directed.
