Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of work experience.
• Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license and be able to operate a university vehicle.
• Ability to operate power equipment related to grounds maintenance.
• Basic knowledge in grounds maintenance, horticulture, cement work.
• Ability to climb ladders or scaffolding and work in overhead areas.
• Must lift/carry grounds equipment or supplies and push/pull a cart.

Responsabilités

• Install and renovate landscaping including turf, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds.
• Maintain and repair exterior athletic and recreational facilities.
• Remove trash on grounds and empty waste receptacles.
• Provide emergency response to exterior hazards as needed.
• Assist in special events, set-ups, and building service functions.
• Maintain campus grounds including fencing, parking lots, roadways, and pathways.
• Operate power equipment safely and inspect equipment daily.
• Keep records of hours, materials used, and vehicle trips.
• Ensure equipment is kept safe from vandalism or theft during shifts.
