Job summary

Jewish Home is seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance worker to properly maintain the campus grounds, including the Jewish Home and Marian’s House grounds. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm with on-call and weekend rotation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, some college or technical training in grounds maintenance, and a valid NYS driver’s license. Pesticide/herbicide license preferred but not required; MS Office and MS Outlook experience are helpful for reporting

Responsibilities

Schedule and perform all grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, inspections and snow/ice control.
Identify disease or problems with trees, shrubs, turf and report for control.
Perform basic building repairs such as lighting, plumbing and painting as assigned.
Assist with small to mid-sized outdoor and indoor projects and coordinate with tradesmen.
On-Call during snow season and participate in maintenance on-call rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
