Job summary

American Campus Communities in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain our student housing community. You will clean and service interior and exterior spaces, manage common areas, and support the service team with make-ready duties.

This role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a golf cart. Training is provided, and you’ll contribute to keeping our properties welcoming for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor and property (apartment) maintenance.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and work safely.
• Training provided to support success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Groundskeeping, including trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping and/or shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas; stocking bathrooms.
• Assist the service team with work orders, moving furniture, and unloading and storing supplies.
• Support service team with apartment make-ready duties, including trash outs, cleaning, and painting.
• Assist in property turnover process.
• Support the service team with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Safely operate all facility equipment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops, storage areas, and back-of-house environments.
