Job summary

The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind North Campus in Decatur, AL seeks a Grounds & General Maintenance Worker to perform manual and semi-skilled tasks across campus grounds and facilities. This part-time role (not to exceed 19 hours weekly) reports to the Operations Coordinator and requires the ability to work in all weather and communicate with a diverse community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years accumulative position related experience.
• Valid Driver License and ability to be insured.
• Ability to pass suitability requirements for employment.

Responsibilities

• Daily work orders prioritization, assignment, completion.
• Safety participation in meetings as required.
• Collect health and safety data for buildings and grounds.
• Operate light- and some heavy-duty landscape equipment.
• General maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
