Job summary

Auburn University at Montgomery is seeking a Part-Time Groundskeeper to maintain campus grounds and assist with landscaping projects on the Montgomery, Alabama campus. The role involves operating lawn and landscape equipment and helping with installation of landscaping features.

The successful candidate will perform routine groundskeeping tasks, maintain tools and equipment, and assist in keeping athletic fields and outdoor areas in good condition. This is a part-time on-site position on campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in groundskeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains University grounds using edger, blower, rake, shovel, trimmer, mower, and other equipment.
• Maintains equipment such as hand tools and power equipment (chain saws, edgers, weed eaters, forklifts, mowers, backhoes).
• Installs landscaping and related items on University grounds.
• Operates motorized street sweeping and cleaning equipment to keep streets and parking lots clean.
• May maintain athletic fields.
