Job summary

LM Wind Power / GE is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the aesthetic quality of Santa Fe College’s outdoor grounds and landscaping. Responsibilities include mowing, planting, pruning, and operating landscape equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a Florida Class E Operator license, and must obtain a pest control license within six months. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a diverse environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Florida Class E Operator (driver’s) license.
• Criminal background check will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds by cutting, mowing, edging, and trimming grass.
• Plants flowers, trees, and shrubs; transplants as necessary.
• Prunes shrubs and trees using the appropriate technique.
• Keeps grounds free of debris and weeds.
• Monitors and maintains the watering needs of the grounds.
• Operates equipment pertinent to completion of all grounds tasks.
• Mixes and sprays fertilizers or pest control solutions.
