Job summary

Brightpoint Community College is seeking a Grounds Team Member to maintain campus grounds at the Chester location. This role supports landscaping, equipment operation, and campus cleanliness to foster a safe and inviting environment for learning.

The position includes upkeep of natural areas, parking lots, sidewalks, and exterior signage, plus assisting with classroom and office setups and mail deliveries. This is designated as Essential Personnel with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grounds maintenance principles, materials, equipment operation and safety.
• Proficiency in operating a personal computer.
• Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety standards.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work with others.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must report to work as essential personnel within one hour when called after hours or holidays.
• Successful background check required.
