Qualifications

• One year of landscape maintenance experience.
• A valid NJ driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English.
• Available to work all shifts, overtime and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor campus grounds for needs such as fertilizing, insect and disease control, weeding, dead plant removal, watering and pruning.
• Maintain lawns and softscapes with mowing, trimming, edging and related activities.
• Water new plant material and floral displays to aid establishment.
• Prune trees and shrubs per policy to maintain health and aesthetics.
• Install and maintain seasonal plantings including annuals, perennials and grasses.
• Remove leaves and debris to keep areas clean and safe.
• Prepare areas for landscape work and install landscape materials as required.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools.
