Job summary

Lancaster Bible College is seeking a Grounds & Equipment Technician to maintain and enhance the appearance, safety, and functionality of campus grounds and outdoor spaces. The role includes mowing, landscape maintenance, snow removal, and support for campus events, plus preventative maintenance and minor repairs of grounds equipment and vehicles.

You will supervise student employees, operate mowers, tractors, skid loaders, and other grounds machinery, and ensure timely completion of assignments

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of grounds maintenance, landscaping, equipment operation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, pruning, and landscape maintenance.
• Operate grounds equipment (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, skid loaders) and assist with campus events and seasonal projects.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, and minor repairs on grounds equipment and departmental vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and related equipment.
• Coordinate major repairs with external vendors when needed.
• Maintain service records, inventories, registrations, and inspection documentation.
• Participate in on-call snow removal, storm response, and after-hours campus operations.
