Job summary

Westminster College seeks a Director of Campus Grounds to maintain campus beauty, safety, and function. The role oversees landscape care, tree maintenance, seasonal projects, and contracted services to uphold the College’s safety and environmental standards.

Collaborate with Plant Operations, support events, and assist with interior maintenance when outdoor work slows. Strong attention to detail and teamwork across departments are essential for campus stewardship.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical cert is preferred.
• Preferences include Certified Arborist or pesticide applicator licenses.
• Experience in grounds or facilities management in an institutional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance, health, and safety of all campus grounds.
• Coordinate seasonal landscaping and grounds improvement plans.
• Coordinate contracted mowing, snow removal, and landscaping services.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment and inspect for safety.
• Assist with interior maintenance during winter or low outdoor activity periods.
