The New School's on-campus store, The New Store, is seeking a Student Graphic Design Assistant Specialist to support marketing and merchandise through graphic design, content creation, social media and email campaigns. You will collaborate with the Associate Director and store staff to develop concepts and deliver production-ready files.

Qualifications

• Portfolio or examples demonstrating graphic design skills and typography.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign); experience with Canva is a plus.
• Interest or experience in social media, digital marketing, photography, video, and content creation.
• Basic understanding of digital and print file formats and the ability to prepare files for various applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear and engaging promotional copy.

Responsabilités

• Create digital and print marketing materials for The New Store, including social media graphics and email graphics.
• Develop artwork for merchandise and assist with mockups and production-ready files.
• Maintain brand standards and organized creative files.
• Collaborate with Store staff to brainstorm concepts supporting merchandise and marketing objectives.
• Assist with planning and executing social media campaigns and content calendars.
• Capture content featuring merchandise and events, including motion graphics when needed.
• Schedule and post content, track analytics, and provide insights.
