Job summary

California State University, Stanislaus in Stockton is seeking a temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant for the CSUS Stockton campus. The role involves front desk duties at the Warrior Welcome Hub, general admin support, event readiness, and outreach assistance.

Key qualifications include enrollment in required units, prior customer service, and basic computer skills. The position is on-site with a pay of $16.90 per hour, open until filled, with possible reappointment based on budget

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of six Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be enrolled in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
• Demonstrated customer service experience and a positive, helpful attitude.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows and/or MacOS, Microsoft Office/365, internet browsers, and email.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and explain solutions in a non-technical manner.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing needs.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, and greet and assist students, staff, faculty, and visitors at the Warrior Welcome Hub (front counter help desk).
• Monitor hallways, classrooms, and common areas; report any concerns to university officials or Securitas as needed.
• Assist with classroom and event readiness by reviewing schedules and ensuring space setup and cleanliness.
• Offer general administrative and logistical support for classes, events, and activities.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and organized campus environment.
• Outreach and event support.
• Other duties as assigned.
