Job summary

Disability Resource Services at Stanislaus State seeks a Student Assistant to provide front office coverage, answer phones, and help answer questions about the program. The role may involve assisting students with disabilities with paperwork and proctoring exams.

The position is a temporary hourly role with August 10, 2026 start and May 31, 2027 end date, including cart services and classroom support as needed. Open until filled.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license required.
• Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units; graduate students must be enrolled in at least four Fall/Spring units.

Responsibilities

• Front Office coverage in Disability Resource Services office, including answering phones and general questions about the program as well as scheduling appointments.
• May provide instruction to students with disabilities on the use of assistive technology software.
• Assist students with disabilities in the classroom as needed.
• Assist students with disabilities with paperwork.
• Proctor exams as needed.
• Cart driver, provide cart services for students with disabilities to and from classes as well as confidential items to departments.

Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four Fall/Spring units.
