Qualifications

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings for events, front desk, and special programs.
• Positive attitude, initiative, and a commitment to representing DMACC VanKirk Career Academy in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Staff the front desk by greeting visitors, answering questions, directing guests, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner while taking accurate messages as needed.
• Assist students, faculty, staff, and community members with general inquiries and connect them with appropriate resources.
• Support recruitment and outreach efforts by representing DMACC VanKirk Career Academy at community events, career fairs, school visits, open houses, and other promotional activities.
• Assist with event planning, setup, registration, and logistics for student and community programs.
• Complete special projects assigned by Career Academy staff, including data entry, filing, preparing materials, assembling packets, organizing supplies, and other administrative support.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and common spaces.
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive attitude while representing DMACC.
• Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and daily operations of the Career Academy.
