Job summary

Stand Together Fellowships in Washington, DC, invites applications for the Campus Freedom Intern to advance ACTA's mission of free expression and academic freedom on U.S. campuses.

The intern analyzes policies, supports reports, updates the ACTA Gold Standard site, assists with letters on campus freedom, and monitors higher-ed news; hybrid DC-based, with a yearly stipend of $7,500 for full-time (≈32 h/wk) or $5,500 for part-time (≈24 h/wk).

Qualifications

• Assist the Campus Freedom Initiative (CFI) with analyzing academic policies on free speech, academic freedom, and diversity of thought on college campuses.
• Provide research support for reports related to policy recommendations in ACTA Gold Standard and campus freedom issues.
• Assist with updating universities on the ACTA site using the ACTA Gold Standard for Freedom of Expression.

Responsibilities

• Analyze academic policies on free speech and academic freedom on college campuses.
• Support research for reports on campus freedom topics.
• Assist in updating universities on the ACTA Gold Standard for Freedom of Expression website.
• Provide research and writing support for the Levy Fellow in Campus Freedom.
• Assist with letters and statements on campus freedom issues as they arise.
• Monitor higher-ed news and inform the CFI team of developments.
