Job summary

NMS is seeking a Food Service Worker to perform cleaning, food preparation, stocking and serving duties across the Dine College Campus in Tsaile, AZ. The role includes cash handling, POS entries, and assisting customers with orders.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, experience in cashier and food service, English literacy, and the ability to meet vaccination requirements. This on-site position emphasizes safety, teamwork and reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Arizona Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certification contingent upon 30 days of hire.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Six months of related food service experience.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.
• COVID-19 vaccination required at work location.

Responsibilities

• Properly inputs sales into the POS systems.
• Continuously checks work areas to ensure product levels are maintained and refreshed.
• Continuously cleans and wipes work areas including removing garbage, cleaning dishes, coffee machines, countertops, etc.
• Reports to the supervisor any problems with the quality or quantity of food being served.
• Assists customers with information, inquiries, order selection and recommendations.
• Counts cash drawers to prepare deposits.
• Prepares food and cooks entrees.
• Assists with large cleaning projects.
• This position is not responsible for supervision of staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
