Job summary

Associated Students of San Diego State University seeks a Fitness & Wellness Supervisor to assist with administration and coordination of a comprehensive fitness and instructional class program on campus. You will recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, coordinate schedules for each semester, and ensure program quality and safety across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in recreation, exercise science, physical education, kinesiology or related field.
• Two years of group fitness class instruction experience.
• Two years supervisory/management experience.
• ACSM, AFAA, NSCA, ACE or equivalent certification required.
• ARC CPR, First Aid and AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Instructor certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of Fitness and Wellness programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate instructors and program assistants.
• Coordinate and program the Fitness, Wellness, and Instructional Class schedule for each semester.
• Prepare staff meetings and disseminate information to staff
• Use Virtual EMS/CMS/Fusion to manage facilities, schedules, and class details
• Develop surveys and analyze data to improve programs
• Ensure customer service standards and respond to member feedback
• Plan events such as Fitness Jam and open houses and coordinate promotions
