Job summary

Next Level Staffing in Atlanta, GA is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This full-time/contract role involves preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and safe, well‑maintained campus buildings.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in maintenance, knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, a Georgia Driver's License, and strong communication skills. You will work Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance or related experience.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry repairs.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License.
  • Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and work orders.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor plumbing repairs and replace fixtures, valves, and related components.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs and replace fixtures, devices, and appliances.
  • Complete basic carpentry repairs on doors, windows, hardware, screens, and furniture.
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with painting, facility setups, and special event preparations.
  • Coordinate with staff regarding room setups and maintenance needs.
  • Work cooperatively with custodial staff and other trades on projects.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and building occupants.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional weekends

Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for performing general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure campus buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering quality work and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • $20.00 per hour
  • Full-time hours
  • Day shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Monday through Friday with occasional weekends
