Oregon Humane Society is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist at the Salem Campus. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance, minor repairs, landscaping, and coordinating with external vendors while ensuring safe, well-maintained facilities.

The position is full-time and reports to the Facilities Operations Manager. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and several years of facilities maintenance experience. Benefits include medical, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs across buildings, fixtures, furnishings, and grounds.
• Complete routine building repairs and upkeep, including carpentry, painting, hardware replacement, and plumbing repairs.
• Perform routine landscaping and grounds maintenance and safety checks.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized work; obtain estimates and schedule services.
• Maintain maintenance logs, records, and communication with leadership.
