Capstone On-Campus Management is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician for The Heights at Montclair State University. The role involves maintaining, repairing, and renovating university housing facilities, with on-call duties 24/7 and a rapid 30-minute response target for emergencies.

The position requires a GED and typically 3–5 years of relevant experience, with preferred skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and LEED-related work.

Qualifications

• Requires GED. Office hours may include on-call rotation.
• 3-5 years’ experience preferred in residential or student housing environments.
• Preference for HVAC, LEED, plumbing, electrical experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including thermostats, filters, and belts.
• Repair and replace public area, office, and residential furniture as needed.
• Conduct boiler maintenance, record temperatures and inspections.
• Perform plumbing repairs (leaks, drains, toilets, sinks).
• Carry out electrical repairs (bulbs, fixtures, outlets, GFCIs).
• Complete painting and drywall repairs as scheduled.
• Maintain tools and storage areas; log maintenance activities.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call maintenance rotations; respond within 30 minutes.
