Job summary

Westmoreland County Community College is seeking a Manager of Facilities and Campus Safety to oversee day-to-day operations across all College locations, supervise Facilities staff, and manage safety programs.

The role requires coordinating maintenance, grounds, custodial services, safety planning, compliance with OSHA, and budgeting. Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving are essential to keep the campus safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior supervisory/management experience required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and HVAC controls.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret systems operations and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day functions of Facilities and supervise staff across College locations.
• Plan and supervise custodial, maintenance, grounds and set-ups; ensure staff coverage.
• Oversee safety programs, compliance with OSHA and related regulations.
• Maintain CMMS and manage maintenance records and preventative programs.
• Develop and manage facilities budgets and safety training programs.
• Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations.
