Job summary

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) seeks a Planning Manager for the Office of Real Estate and Planning. You will lead campus master planning efforts and coordinate with colleges to prepare capital project requests.

You will manage consultants, provide programming analyses, maintain planning guidelines, and support space planning across 26 campuses, ensuring timely, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Architecture, or a related field.
• Ten years of professional experience in institutional planning.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills with attention to customer service, diplomacy, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage consultants and campus involvement in the development of campus master plans.
• Support assigned campuses with the development and documentation of capital project requests for inclusion in CUNY’s annual Capital Budget Request.
• Work closely with FPCM’s Design, Construction, and Management to provide project planning, programming, and conceptual design oversight on capital projects at assigned campuses.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of CUNY-wide space and planning guidelines.
• Provide database and report development support for all FPCM departments.
