Qualifications

• Diploma (High School) or GED. Five years of experience in a construction/facility maintenance trade or a four (4) year technical degree.
• Three years of experience directly or indirectly supervising commercial/industrial construction/facility maintenance shop personnel.
• Experience using a personal computer or microcomputer.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high degree of productivity, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and quality in shop performance.
• Provides timely and courteous customer service, keeps staff informed of current policies and procedures.
• Prepares statements of work, solicits bids, selects best value contractors, and coordinates funding and paperwork.
• Composes, reviews, and processes shop paperwork including letters, reports, timesheets, and requisitions.
• Uses plans to estimate labor/material costs and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Participates in project reviews and trainings to ensure current information is shared.
