Job summary

Kimball Union Academy seeks a qualified Facilities Manager to lead a small team responsible for the complete maintenance of campus buildings. The role involves overseeing maintenance and capital projects, coordinating with vendors, and managing budgets within Facilities and Operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication, excellent recordkeeping, and robust computer skills. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building trades, or related field.
• Five+ years of progressively responsible experience in building, construction, or property management.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of skilled trade professionals in building maintenance across academic facilities, dormitories, athletic facilities, and offices.
• Coordinate on-call shifts and provide 24/7 emergency coverage for campus facilities.
• Perform routine inspections and manage a preventative maintenance program.
• Work with directors to prioritize, plan, and communicate maintenance activities.
• Prepare estimates and supervise repairs or alterations; manage supplies and equipment distribution.
• Maintain documentation and generate reports as requested by leadership.
