Stephens College in Missouri is seeking a General Maintenance I to support the safe, efficient, and attractive operation of campus facilities through preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep. This role covers academic buildings, residence halls, offices, and athletic facilities to keep buildings and equipment ready for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs to campus buildings, equipment, and systems.
• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely, professional manner with good service.
• Carry out carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and hardware tasks.
• Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and building systems as needed.
• Install and replace fixtures, shelving, signage, furniture and fixtures.
• Inspect for maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions.
• Support residence halls with turnovers, repairs, and move-in preparations.
• Assist events with setup and takedown of equipment.
• Document completed work in the Facilities ticketing system.
