Job summary

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory (OLV) is seeking a highly organized Director of Facility Operations to oversee the day-to-day campus needs. You will ensure buildings and grounds are safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained, coordinating contractors and service providers to keep the school running smoothly.

This hands-on leadership role requires initiative, clear communication, and ownership of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Be highly organized, dependable, and able to manage many operational issues.
• Have strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving.
• Take initiative and work independently.
• Communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and community.
• Experience in facilities/maintenance or related field.
• Willing to perform hands-on maintenance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance, safety, and functionality of buildings and grounds.
• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Manage contractors, obtain estimates, and monitor work.
• Maintain records, budgets, and inventory of assets.
• Support campus safety procedures and emergency planning.
